Campbellsville Independent Schools has opened a new innovation center for students to immerse themselves in hands-on, authentic learning.

The Eagle Center of Innovation, also called iEagle, opened in August 2019. Students who apply and are accepted attend classes at the iEagle campus, and is located at Campbellsville Middle School. iEagle is open to students in third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The teachers include: Anna Nicholas (6th Grade), Katie Campbell (7th Grade), Kari Booe (8th Grade), Ann Michael Tucker (5th Grade), Hannah Jones (Director), Luci Shofner (3rd Grade), Tracey Rinehart (4th Grade) and Paige Cook (Reading Specialist).

At the iEagle campus, students participate in project-based learning and STEAM projects, learn about engineering, robotics and technology, perform community service and much more. CIS Superintendent Kirby Smith said iEagle was created to provide students with a new way of learning.
